PHARMExcel is delighted to be speaking at the 2nd COG: CRO Summit Europe, taking place in Amsterdam on 15–16 September 2026, where our CEO and Founder, Yvanne Enever, will be speaking on the growing role of strategic partnerships between CROs.
The summit brings together CRO and FSP leaders from across Europe to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping clinical trial delivery, from new technologies and increasingly complex studies to evolving sponsor expectations.

Keynote: Strategic Alliances – Turning CRO Collaboration into Competitive Edge

Yvanne will be joined by Melissa Melton from Momentum Pharma, a long-standing CRO partner of PHARMExcel, to share their experience of building successful CRO-to-CRO partnerships.
As clinical trials become increasingly complex and global, no single CRO needs to provide every capability in-house. Strategic alliances between small and mid-sized CROs can bring together specialist expertise, infrastructure and geographic coverage, enabling them to compete for and successfully deliver studies that may otherwise sit beyond the scope of either organisation alone.
In their session, Yvanne and Melissa will explore how CROs can turn collaboration into a genuine competitive advantage – not simply by referring work to one another, but by presenting sponsors with a joined-up proposition and working as one team.
Drawing on their own experience of partnering together, they will discuss:
- how CROs can identify complementary capabilities and build partnerships that create value for sponsors
- joint approaches to bids, capability presentations and sponsor meetings
- how a unified CRO partnership can give sponsors confidence in the team behind their study
- practical approaches to operational integration, technology and shared resources
- how to maintain the strengths and specialist expertise of each CRO while creating a seamless experience for the sponsor
The session will provide practical insight into how well-structured CRO partnerships can extend capabilities, open up new business opportunities and ultimately give sponsors greater choice and flexibility in how their trials are delivered.
