Yvanne Enever, Founder and CEO of award-winning Contract Research Organisation (CRO), PHARMExcel, has been awarded Businesswoman of the Year honours by SME Business Awards Hertfordshire, UK.
Among the eight finalists, Yvanne was recognised for her exceptional business leadership and drive which has led to the remarkable growth of the company in the last 12 months.
Yvanne founded PHARMExcel in 2009 with a mission to provide an accessible, client-first clinical trial management service to support the NHS. Since then, the company has expanded into the commercial biotech sector to manage clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas across the UK and Europe.
The business has played a pivotal role in ground-breaking global drug development including the world’s first COVID booster vaccine trial (Covboost) and the first into-man safety and performance trial of a new liver dialysis device study-DIALIVE TM .
Commenting on her award Yvanne said: “It’s a huge honour to be recognised in this way. Amongst so many esteemed female leaders who were also nominated I feel privileged to have come away with this award.”
Yvanne continued to say: “PHARMExcel is embarking on an incredible journey. In the last 12 months we’ve seen unprecedented growth in new partnerships.
The client benefit of working with PHARMExcel is huge. All our clients get access to a highly collaborative and responsive team of experts that act as an extension to their own teams – a true partnership; something larger organisations fail to achieve as voices and progress gets stifled in an over bureaucratic system.”
